[RECAP WORKSHOP] BUILDING WITH AI ON AWS: FROM FOUNDATION TO REAL-WORLD IMPACT

On October 28, Women in Tech®Vietnam and Women Tech Entrepreneurs, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), hosted the workshop “Building with AI on AWS: From Foundation to Real-World Impact” at ITD Building, Ho Chi Minh City.

The workshop brought together technology professionals, business leaders, and AI enthusiasts to explore practical AI applications through expert insights, real-world examples, and live demonstrations.

We were delighted to welcome three speakers from AWS:

🎤 Ms. Deepa Koka, Regional Leader, APACMEA, Amazon eXperience & Upskilling, opened with “Grow. Thrive. Connect. – The Leadership Multiplier,” highlighting the importance of leadership, growth, and meaningful connections in an AI-driven world.

🎤 Mr. Nima Sherpa, Solutions Architect at AWS, introduced the foundations of AI and key concepts behind its adoption, helping participants better understand how to approach and apply the technology.

🎤 Mr. Isaac Lin, Solutions Architect at AWS, shared insights into why organizations choose AWS to build AI-powered solutions and how AI can drive innovation and create business value.

💡 From AI Foundations to Real-World Impact

The workshop featured examples of Vietnamese organizations building with AI on AWS, demonstrating how the technology can address practical business needs and create value in everyday work.

🔎 Live Demos: Putting AI into Practice

Led by Nima Sherpa and Isaac Lin, the demonstrations showcased two practical applications:

🔹 Amazon Quick showed how users can turn questions into structured briefing notes with sources, making information easier to organize and access.

🔹 Kiro demonstrated how to transform an idea into a working check-in page through AI-assisted development. Its spec-driven workflow helps developers define requirements, design solutions, and organize tasks before coding.

Overall, the workshop highlighted how combining AI capabilities with a clear understanding of business needs can help organizations drive innovation, improve productivity, and create lasting value.
